Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia pays a courtesy call on the President

5 October 2016; Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud paid a courtesy call on the President of Maldives His Excellency Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, at the King Saud Guest Palace this morning.

Speaking at the call, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince expressed solidarity with Maldives in all matters and pledged continued partnership between the two countries. Deputy Crown Prince also stated that Saudi Arabia will be supportive of Maldives in the international arena. Moreover, Prince Mohammed emphasized on the fact that Maldives is poised to reap the benefit of regional progress. Deputy Crown Prince reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia will continue to support development on the ground of Maldives.

During the call, President briefed the Deputy Crown Prince on developmental projects and socioeconomic agenda planned for Maldives. President also conversed about international engagements of the country and further deliberated on regional progress and security. Moreover, President Yameen highlighted that the whole purpose of his administration is to bring growth to the country.

A high-level delegation that includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Economic Development, H.E. Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture H.E. Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of State, Foreign Relations, at the President’s Office, H.E. Mohamed Naseer, and Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Abdulla Hameed accompanied the President at the Call.
